Abalone or Pike Eel?

The theme ingredient in the "Abalone Battle - Morimoto vs. Kajimoto" episode details is listed as "Pike Eel" rather than Abalone... which is right?

It is Abalone

Sorry about that. I was adding four episodes at the same time that night and I guess I mixed up my tabs when entering the information. Thanks for letting me know.

I miss Iron Chef Japan!

I never knew why the show was ended? I was very disappointed when it became Iron Chef America, with Bobby Flay seemingly the main challenged Chef. He discussed me on the series against Morimoto (I think) bobby won and jump up onto the cutting board with his feet in shoes and totally discuessed and dishonored the Morimoto and the entire Japanese Iron Chef establishment. His winning should have been immediately disqualified and awards given to Morimoto.

Little did I know or understand my passion for this Japanese program until years later when I would meet a wonderful girl from Saitama to which is now my Fiance' during 6 visits to eachother's country.

How I miss Iron Chef Japan.

Downloading Problems

Can anyone help to download? I have un-installed my Quicktime on my Macbook but every time I try to download it loads up the streaming file and never downloads. Any help would be really great. Thanks.

RE: Downloading problems

jlulu1979, are you using firefox?

I had the same trouble with downloading until I went into my add-ons and disabled the VLC plugin that I had enabled.   Check your browser add ons.  Maybe there's a quicktime plugin that needs to be disabled.

Sorry for such a late reply, just saw the post today.

"How did he get in here?"

^Fukui talking about Kandagawa. ;)

Very good battle. With Morimoto's orthodox approach, I thought 'this could be close.' It was somewhat close. Heh. Both did very well. I love seeing Kanoh on the tasting panel when it's a Morimoto battle. He's definitely a straight shooter and it leads to some funny moments. Morimoto seemed a little annoyed that they were calling his approach 'conventional,' but maybe to him it wasn't because he doesn't get to use abalone in the States and it felt "new" cooking with them again.
